A study on fruit fly host range reveals the low infestation rate of Bactrocera dorsalis (Tephritidae) in Mayotte

open access: yesAgricultural and Forest Entomology, Volume 26, Issue 3, Page 314-326, August 2024.
In Mayotte, we studied fruit fly host range 5–12 years after the invasion of the world's most invasive and polyphagous pests of fruits, Bactrocera dorsalis. Surprisingly, results show low occurrence and infestation rates of B. dorsalis. Only seven host plant species were identified over the 84 collected plant species.

Pest categorisation of Diaphania indica

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 22, Issue 5, May 2024.
Abstract The EFSA Panel on Plant Health performed a pest categorisation of Diaphania indica (Lepidoptera: Crambidae), the cucumber moth for the territory of the European Union (EU), following the commodity risk assessment of Jasminum polyanthum from Uganda, in which D. indica was identified as a pest of possible concern to the European Union. D. indica
