The formation of biofilms occurs due to a group of bacteria gathering together. The increasing of cell density will stimulate chemical signals for bacteria to communicate through quorum sensing system. Quorum sensing plays a role for competition, virulence, resistance, and pathogenesis. Quorum sensing produces signaling response called as autoinducers.

The cathodic‐dehalogenation strategy is modified to simultaneously prepare two N‐containing poly(p‐phenylene)s (CityU‐23 from 2,5‐diiodopyridine (DIPy) and CityU‐24 from 2,5‐dibromopyrazine (DBPz)) and fabricate their corresponding thin films. Both polymer films display good alkaline HER performance, where the efficiency increases with the number of ...

An investigation into the sensory properties of luffa [Luffa cylindrica (L.)] sap
Abstract The seeds and sap of luffa [Luffa cylindrica (L.)] are usually discarded as waste. As such, this study aimed to identify the sensory properties of luffa sap (aqueous solution) and if it can be incorporated into a food item (orange juice) for added nutritional benefits and as an alternative sweetener. A sensory trial (n = 94) asked participants
