Port-Hamiltonian formulation and analysis of the LuGre friction model

A port-Hamiltonian formulation of the LuGre friction model is presented that can be used as a building block in the physical modeling of systems with friction. Based on the dissipation structure matrix of this port-Hamiltonian LuGre model, an alternative proof can be given for the passivity conditions that are known in the literature.

Sensitivity analysis of LuGre friction model for pneumatic actuator control

This paper discusses the analytical model of a pneumatic actuator. Nonlinear hysteresis phenomenon resulting from the friction is also presented in this article. Hysteresis phenomenon governed by the friction in the actuator is modeled with dynamic friction (LuGre) model.

LuGre friction model identification and compensator tuning using a Differential Evolution algorithm

This paper proposes a systematic method to identify the parameters of the LuGre friction model and tune the feedback corresponding compensator. Because of the non linearity of the model, those tasks are difficult and often need lots of time-consuming experiments which are not always compatible with industrial constraints.

Modeling and Analysis of Longitudinal Tire Dynamics Based on the Lugre Friction Model

A brush representation of the longitudinal tire dynamic model isdiscussed in this paper. It is shown that the dynamic tire model can be derived from any dynamic friction model in a straightforward way. Modification of the recently published tire model based on the LuGre friction odel is proposed, resulting in a consistent lumped form of the tire model.

Abstract In this paper, the damping properties of presliding hysteresis are explored for the LuGre and Maxwell-slip friction models. Taking out of consideration the classical linear viscous damping and Stribeck effect, the nonlinear damping of force–displacement hysteresis is analyzed, in Lyapunov sense, for the motion dynamics.
