Anti-atherogenic properties associated with the antioxidant activity from the hydrophilic extracts of Halimeda incrassata (Chlorophyta, Bryopsidales) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Seaweeds are a source of natural antioxidants having potential application in oxidative stress and associated diseases. In this work, anti-atherogenic properties associated with the antioxidant activity from the hydrophilic extracts of Halimeda ...

Natural Variation of TaSG‐D1‐TaWRKY53 Module Regulates Heading Date in Wheat

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Heading date is a critical determinant of regional adaptation and yield potential. Here, we identify an E286K substitution in TaSG‐D1, encoding an STKc_GSK3 kinase, which delays heading date in wheat. Mechanistically, this substitution strengthens the physical interaction between TaSG‐D1 and TaWRKY53 and enhances the phosphorylation of ...

Determination of superoxide anion radicals in sodium hyposnlfite solution by chemiluminesceot methods(连二亚硫酸钠体系中超氧阴离子的化学发光法检测)

open access: yesZhejiang Daxue xuebao. Lixue ban, 2007

Luminol in the forensic science

open access: yesJournal of Biotechnology and Biodiversity, 2012
In a crime scene, the collection of evidence and a subsequent laboratory analysis compose the fundamental steps to allow the expert to reveal the truth for the final verdict in a jury and to bring back the comfort to the victim’s family. Bloodstains are usually found and sent to laboratories as a vestige to unravel the origin of the material.

H3K27me3‐Mediated Epigenetic Silencing of FgHMG1 Enables Fungal Host Immune Evasion

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Histone H3 lysine 27 trimethylation (H3K27me3) is essential for fungal pathogenicity, yet its contribution to pathogen–host interactions remains incompletely understood. Here, we profiled H3K27me3 dynamics in Fusarium graminearum during infection and identified 132 H3K27me3‐marked genes (FgHMGs).

Rapid, Diagnostic Test for Cardiac Ischemia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Current methods to detect cardiac ischemia rely on biomarkers such as troponin. Elevated levels of troponin are observed hours after the cardiac event.

Autoactive MtDMI1 Reprogrammes Immunity and Development in Tomato via Ethylene Signalling

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Common Symbiosis Signalling Pathway (CSSP) underpins interactions between plants and microbes, yet its potential for crop improvement remains underexplored. Here, we investigated the gain‐of‐function mutant SPD1 (MtDMI1S760N), which constitutively activates the symbiotic signalling pathway in Medicago truncatula, by expressing it in tomato

A Specific Sinorhizobium Flagellin Suppresses Legume Nodulation Through Immune Activation

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Bacterial flagellin‐activated immunity plays a crucial role in shaping plant‐microbe interactions, leading to either parasitism, mutualism, or commensalism. In the legume‐rhizobium symbiosis, while it has been hypothesized that rhizobial infection involves avoidance of plant immunity following flagellin perception, direct evidence supporting ...
