Predicted detection rates of regional-scale meteorite impacts on Mars with the InSight short-period seismometer [PDF]
In 2016 NASA will launch the InSight discovery-class mission, which aims to study the detailed internal structure of Mars for the first time. Short- and long-period seismometers form a major component of InSight's payload and have the potential to detect

Cycles of dieback and recovery drove mangrove forest dynamics at the Albert and Leichhardt Rivers (Gulf of Carpentaria, Queensland, Australia) over 36 years (1987–2023). Landward margins were the most affected by reduced tidal inundation when the alignment of low lunar declination suppressed tidal range and extreme El Niño phases lowered mean sea level.

Multiband Spectropolarimetry of Lunar Maria, Pyroclastics, Fresh Craters, and Swirl Materials
Imaging polarimetry is a well-known method for examining the small-scale structure of the surface regolith of airless celestial bodies. In this study, we examine (for the first time) the wavelength-dependent polarization behavior of selected lunar areas,

Lunar ejecta as the missing piece to resolving lunar cratering asymmetry
The leading-trailing asymmetry in lunar crater distribution provides a critical record of inner Solar System dynamics, yet the long-standing discrepancy between the observed higher asymmetry and lower theoretical predictions indicates a gap in our ...

Model‐Based Systems Engineering in Space Applications: A Comprehensive Literature Review
ABSTRACT The growing complexity of space engineering is driving the demand to embrace the adoption of Model‐Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Although the MBSE is well‐practiced in the space industry, the level of effort and need required to obtain the benefits of MBSE vastly differ across enterprises; this disparity presents a significant challenge to
