Interventional Radiology Society of Australasia Quality Care Guidelines for Renal Tumour Ablation in Australia and New Zealand

open access: yesJournal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Image‐guided thermal ablation (radiofrequency, cryo‐ and microwave ablation) is a safe and effective primary treatment for small renal mass and localised renal cell carcinoma ≤ 4 cm (T1a) with long‐term cancer‐specific survival rates equivalent to surgical resection (Level A).

The Persistent Fragmentation of Gulf Foreign Aid: Bilateralism and the Limits of Regional Humanitarian Coordination

open access: yesGlobal Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper examines why Gulf foreign aid has remained predominantly bilateral and fragmented since its emergence in the 1960s, despite the establishment of regional institutions, recurring regional crises and repeated calls for greater coordination.

Unilateral absence of the lunate sulcus: an anatomical perspective.

open access: yes, 2008
The present study examines the gross anatomical features of anomalous lunate sulcus detected incidentally in a cadaveric brain and discusses its clinical importance. The absence of lunate sulcus was carefully studied in a dissected brain specimen.

An Overview of the Rock Art of AlUla: Tracing Changes in Content and Form Across 12,000 Years of Human History

open access: yesArabian Archaeology and Epigraphy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Between 2018 and 2021, the Identification and Documentation of Immovable Heritage Assets (IDIHA) Project recorded over 19,000 rock art panels in the AlUla (al‐‘Ulā) region of north‐western Saudi Arabia. This study presents a chronological assessment of the corpus, drawing on superimpositions, datable motifs, inscriptions, and varnish formation,

Progress Toward a Portable Artificial Lung: A Systematic Review

open access: yesArtificial Organs, EarlyView.
Eight portable respiratory assist devices were identified. The CE‐marked MobyBox and the FDA‐approved Breethe OXY‐1 system are in clinical use. Each device is substantially minimized to allow ambulation, but further work is required to address challenges related to anticoagulant management and safe mobilization. Created in BioRender. ε{lunate}′/ε{lunate}: theoretical results and updated phenomenological analysis

open access: yes, 1994
We present the results for the Next-to-Leading Order effective hamiltonian for ΔS = 1 decays, in presence of both QCD and QED corrections, and update the existing theoretical predictions for ε{lunate}′/ε{lunate}. © 1994.SCOPUS: ar.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/

Interpreting the structure–function relationship in high myopia‐associated glaucoma: A review

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, EarlyView.
Abstract Visual field (VF) interpretation in high myopia‐associated glaucoma (HMG) is challenging due to frequent structure–function discordance and coexisting myopia‐related changes. These changes may reduce the reliability of conventional structure–function mapping and increase the risk of misclassifying non‐glaucomatous VF abnormalities as ...

Isolated Lunate Fracture in a Child: A Case Report [PDF]

open access: yes
Isolated lunate fractures in children are exceptionally uncommon. We present a case of a 6-year-old girl with an isolated, displaced lunate fracture after a fall who was treated with semi-open reduction with K-wires, resulting in complete functional ...

16S/18S metabarcoding versus culture for aetiological assessment in infectious keratitis: A prospective paired‐sample study

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Infectious keratitis (IK) is a vision‐threatening condition with diverse microbial aetiologies, yet conventional culture‐based diagnostics often have limited sensitivity. We investigated whether 16S/18S rRNA amplicon‐based next‐generation sequencing (NGS) can enhance aetiological assessment when used alongside standard microbiological ...

Modelling Patterns of Past Inundation Processes Combining Geoarchaeology and Morphometric Hydrological Analysis in the Shashe‐Limpopo Basin, South Africa

open access: yesArchaeometry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Riverine and valley systems across the globe have been central to the development of past urban centres. By AD 900, the Shashe and Limpopo Rivers seem to have facilitated the interaction and integration of early farming communities in southern Africa. This paper focuses on the application of geoarchaeological perspectives made available by the
