Laser resection of lung metastasis

Multimedia Manual of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, 2005
Presentation of the laser resection technique for metastatic lung diseases: a new Nd:YAG 1.318 nm wavelength laser system enables the thoracic surgeon to extend indication and include a larger number of patients for pulmonary metastasectomy. Thenar metastasis from lung cancer

European Journal of Cancer Care, 2002
We report an unusual occurrence of skin metastasis to the thenar eminence. Skin metastasis reflects the progression of the primary malignancy. Biopsy should be performed from the skin lesions, even those located at uncommon sites, for patients who have a history of uncontrolled lung cancer.

[Lung metastasis].

Revue des maladies respiratoires, 1993
Pulmonary metastasis of non small cell lung carcinomas are commonly nodular. The isolated nodular form must be diagnosed from double location carcinomas. The lymphangitic carcinomatosis semiology is best demonstrated with HR-CT-Technic. Endobronchic, alveolar and multi-micro angiopathy with emboli are less common.

Splenic metastasis of lung cancer

Oncology Reports, 2001
Splenic metastasis from a lung cancer is infrequently noted, however, the pattern of the metastasis has not been studied, thus we conducted a retrospective study. Twelve of the consecutive 997 patients with lung cancer, who were admitted to our division, developed splenic metastasis.

Lung Cancer With Skin Metastasis

Chest, 1994
We describe findings in 34 cases of lung cancer with skin metastases. In 24 men and 10 women, ages ranged from 32 to 85 years (mean, 61 years). In five, a skin lesion was the first manifestation of the underlying cancer; in another four, it was found coincidentally with detection of the lung mass.

Centrifugal metastasis in lung cancer

British Journal of Diseases of the Chest, 1961

Colorectal metastasis (liver and lung)

Surgical Clinics of North America, 2002
Distant metastases are the major cause of death for colorectal carcinoma patients. Depending on the primary tumor's stage, liver metastases occur in 20% to 70% of patients and lung metastases in 10% to 20%. Unlike many other cancers, the presence of distant metastases from colorectal cancer does not preclude curative treatment.

Uveal metastasis revealing lung cancer

Journal Français d'Ophtalmologie, 2012
Uveal metastases (UM) are the most common intraocular malignancies and can be the first manifestation of a disseminated disease. The purpose of this study is to determine the frequency with which uveal metastasis results in a diagnosis of lung cancer, to describe the clinical characteristics of patients with lung cancer metastatic to the uvea, as well ...
