Phase diagram of the random frequency oscillator: The case of Ornstein-Uhlenbeck noise

open access: yes, 2006
We study the stability of a stochastic oscillator whose frequency is a random process with finite time memory represented by an Ornstein-Uhlenbeck noise. This system undergoes a noise-induced bifurcation when the amplitude of the noise grows.

Investigating Tuberculosis Dynamics Under Various Control Strategies: A Comprehensive Analysis Using Real Statistical Data

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In the present investigation, a mathematical model with vaccination, treatment, and environmental impact under real data is presented. Initially, we present the model without any interventions, followed by an examination of its equilibrium points.

On the Mean‐Field Limit of Consensus‐Based Methods

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Consensus‐based optimization (CBO) employs a swarm of particles evolving as a system of stochastic differential equations (SDEs). Recently, it has been adapted to yield a derivative free sampling method referred to as consensus‐based sampling (CBS). In this paper, we investigate the “mean‐field limit” of a class of consensus methods, including

From Stability to Chaos: A Complete Classification of the Damped Klein‐Gordon Dynamics

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We investigate the transition between stability and chaos in the damped Klein‐Gordon equation, a fundamental model for wave propagation and energy dissipation. Using semigroup methods and spectral criteria, we derive explicit thresholds that determine when the system exhibits asymptotic stability and when it displays strong chaotic dynamics ...

Predefined‐Time Dynamic Surface Control of Tank Horizontal Stabilization System With Disturbance

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Modern new tanks are difficult to achieve high precision control of the horizontal stabilization system due to electromechanical coupling and road surface disturbance during high‐speed combat. A predefined‐time dynamic surface controller (DSCPT) is proposed for the fast stabilization and strong disturbance problems of the tank horizontal ...

Features of the Computational Implementation of the Algorithm for Estimating the Lyapunov Exponents of Systems with Delay

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2019
We consider the computational implementation of the algorithm for Lyapunov exponents spectrum numerical estimation for delay differential equations. It is known that for such systems, as well as for boundary value problems, it is not possible to prove ...

DESCRIPTOR DISCRETIZED LYAPUNOV FUNCTIONAL METHOD

open access: yesIFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2006
Abstract Stability and state-feedback stabilization of linear systems with constant delays are considered. The system under consideration may be unstable without delay, but it becomes asymptotically stable for positive values of the delay. A new descriptor discretized Lyapunov Krasovskii Functional (LKF) method is introduced, which combines the ...

Variational lyapunov method for discrete hybrid systems

open access: yesMathematical and Computer Modelling, 2003
This paper deals with the initial value problem \(\Delta y(n)=f(n,y(n))\), \(y(n_0)=y_0\). In their paper [Appl. Anal. 83, 363--376 (2004; Zbl 1055.39006)], the authors present the nonlinear variation of parameter (NVP) formula. Here they offer its improved version where the smoothness condition on \(f\) with respect to \(y\) is relaxed. In addition, a
