An asymptotically exact stopping rule for the numerical computation of the Lyapunov spectrum
Chaos, Solitons & Fractals, 1996Abstract It is in general not possible to analytically compute the Lyapunov spectrum of a given dynamical system. This has been achieved for a few special cases only. Therefore, numerical algorithms have been devised for this task. However, one major drawback of these numerical algorithms is their lack of stopping rules.

The 2 Degree of Freedom (DoF) ball balancer system is a highly nonlinear system where the position of the ball is controlled by controlling the two servo motors simultaneously. In general, conventional Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller and Proportional Velocity (PV) is used to control the location of the ball on a plate in $\pmb{X}$ and

On a Practicle Stopping Rule for the Numerical Computation of the Lyapunov Spectrum
1992 American Control Conference, 1992It is in general not possible to analytically compute the Lyapunov spectrum of a given dynamical system. This has been achieved for a few special cases only. Therefore, numerical algorithms have been devised for this task. One major drawback of these numerical algorithms is the lack of an adequate stopping rule.

A general update rule for Lyapunov‐based adaptive control of mobile robots with wheel slip
International Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal ProcessingSummaryIn this article, we introduce a novel family of Lyapunov‐based adaptive kinematic control laws developed to solve the trajectory tracking problem for a differential‐drive mobile robot under the influence of both longitudinal and lateral wheel slip.

This study proposes a novel chaotic anti-control for flexible joint system. The proposed controller is composed of a Lyapunov rule-based fuzzy control and chaotic anti-control for target tracking of the flexible joint manipulator. Chaotic signal is used to study the effect of anti-control to reduce the deflection of flexible joint system and control ...

A generalized chain rule and a bound on the continuity of solutions and converse Lyapunov functions
Proceedings of the 48h IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC) held jointly with 2009 28th Chinese Control Conference, 2009This paper gives a bound on the continuity of solutions to nonlinear ordinary differential equations. Continuity is measured with respect to an arbitrary Sobolev norm. This result is used to give a bound on the continuity of a common converse Lyapunov function.

This paper puts forward a switching rule stabilization design of the robust integral sliding mode control for uncertain switched systems. A kind of common robust integral sliding mode (CRISM) is firstly designed and the system matrices of subsystems under the sliding mode comprise a robust stable matrix set.
