Aberrant Dikaryons in the Lycoperdaceae

Mycologia, 1990
Dikaryons isolated from members of the genera Bovista, Calvatia, Langermannia, Lycoperdon, and Vascellum were aberrant in two respects. Trinucleate cells occurred in all isolates occasionally becoming dominant within sectors of the mycelium. Clamp connections were absent or developed sporadically.

SOME DEVELOPMENTAL CHARACTERS OF SPECIES OF LYCOPERDACEAE

American Journal of Botany, 1933
Most of the papers on the Gasteromycetes treat them from the standpoint of taxonomy; only a few deal with their morphology and physiology. Of these a few are limited to the Lycoperdaceae. The first reported study of Gasteromycetes was that of Corda (i842), who simply described the germination of spores of Sphaerobolus stellatus Tode.

SOME CULTURAL CHARACTERS OF SPECIES OF LYCOPERDACEAE

A summary of the present status of Gasteromycetes in culture was given by the writer in previotus papers (Swartz, I928, I929, I933); and it is hoped that the following notes on the culture of nine species of ...
