A Friendly Relationship between Endophytic Fungi and Medicinal Plants: A Systematic Review [PDF]
Endophytic fungi or endophytes exist widely inside the healthy tissues of living plants, and are important components of plant micro-ecosystems. Over the long period of evolution, some co-existing endophytes and their host plants have established a ...

Lannotinidines H-J, New Lycopodium Alkaloids from Lycopodium annotinum
Three new Lycopodium alkaloids, lannotinidines H-J (1-3), were isolated from the club moss Lycopodium annotinum. The structures and relative stereochemistry of 1-3 were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data and the absolute stereochemistry of 2 was assigned by chemical correlation. Lannotinidine H (1) is the first Lycopodium alkaloid possessing

Acetylation‐Deacetylation‐Driven Natural Product Biosynthesis
This review summarizes the role of acetylation‐deacetylation in natural product biosynthesis, including acetylation followed by deacetylation after several biosynthetic steps, acetylation‐mediated rearrangement, acetylation‐triggered elimination, and the acetylation cycle as a regulatory mechanism. These processes are vital for the formation of complex

Three new Lycopodium alkaloids from Lycopodium japonicum
Three new Lycopodium alkaloids (1–3), together with 15 known alkaloids, were isolated from club moss Lycopodium japonicum. Their structures were determined by extensive spectroscopic analysis, including 1D and 2D NMR spectra. Compound 1 has an unusual β-oriented methyl group substituted at C-15 and an α-hydroxy cyclopentenone moiety.

A Colletotrichum gloeosporioides strain from Huperzia serrata lacks key pathogenicity genes CgDN3 and cap20 and has fewer pelB, pnl and pg genes. pksIII, for synthesis of huperzine A, was probably acquired by the host plant from the fungus. ABSTRACT Colletotrichum gloeosporioides is a major agricultural pathogen of crops that has also been identified ...
