Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

In vitro studies on tumor-specific immunity by using C3H mammary cancer-A cells. I. Inhibitory effect of lymph-node cells from the tumor bearing isologous C3H mouse on the proliferation of the tumor cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 1966
As a link in the series of studies on tumor-specific immunity, in vitro inhibitory effect of sensitized isologous lymph-node cells on the proliferation of C3H mammary cancer was studied.

The resistance of a lymph node to lymph flow

open access: yesJournal of British Surgery, 1984
Abstract The relationship between lymph flow, lymph node arterial and venous perfusion pressure and lymph node resistance have been studied in an in vivo isolated canine iliac lymph node perfused through an afferent lymphatic with heparinized canine plasma.

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Lymph node dissection – understanding the immunological function of lymph nodes

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Immunology, 2012
SummaryLymph nodes (LN) are one of the important sites in the body where immune responses to pathogenic antigens are initiated. This immunological function induced by cells within the LN is an extensive area of research. To clarify the general function of LN, to identify cell populations within the lymphatic system and to describe the regeneration of ...

Difficulty of predicting lymph node metastasis on CT in patients with rectal neuroendocrine tumors.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2019
BACKGROUND:Surgical indications for rectal neuroendocrine tumors with potential lymph node metastasis remain controversial. Although accurate preoperative diagnosis of nodal status may be helpful for treatment strategy, scant data about clinical values ...

Clinical predictors of right upper paraesophageal lymph node metastasis from papillary thyroid carcinoma

open access: yesWorld Journal of Surgical Oncology, 2012
Background Central and lateral lymph node metastases are quite common in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma, and the predictors for those metastases have been well studied.
