Analysis of the relevant factors of lymph node metastasis in No.253 lymph node of rectal cancer patients

open access: yesCancer Treatment and Research Communications
Objective: Lymph node metastasis is the primary metastasis of colorectal cancer, and it is of positive significance to explore the characteristics and potential influencing factors of lymph node metastasis in colorectal cancer patients to guide the ...

Adjuvant radiotherapy after radical cystectomy for patients with muscle invasive bladder cancer : a phase II trial [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Background: Neo-adjuvant chemotherapy followed by radical cystectomy with extended pelvic lymph node dissection is considered to be the treatment of choice for patients with muscle invasive bladder cancer (MIBC).

Molecular characterisation of human penile carcinoma and generation of paired epithelial primary cell lines

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Generation of two normal and tumour (cancerous) paired human cell lines using an established tissue culture technique and their characterisation is described. Cell lines were characterised at cellular, protein, chromosome and gene expression levels and for HPV status.

Cryoablation of cardiophrenic angle lymph node metastases: a case report

open access: yesJournal of Medical Case Reports, 2017
Background Cardiophrenic angle lymph node metastases are relatively rare. Surgical resection is the main treatment for cardiophrenic angle lymph node metastasis, but it is not always possible. Case presentation Here, we report our initial experience with

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

SOD2 immunoexpression predicts lymph node metastasis in penile cancer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
BACKGROUND: Superoxide dismutase-2 (SOD2) is considered one of the most important antioxidant enzymes that regulate cellular redox state in normal and tumorigenic cells.

Prediction of Lymph Node Metastasis in Patients With Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma: A Radiomics Method Based on Preoperative Ultrasound Images

open access: yesTechnology in Cancer Research and Treatment, 2019
Background: Papillary thyroid carcinoma is a type of indolent tumor with a dramatically increasing incidence rate and stably high survival rate. Reducing the overdiagnosis and overtreatment of papillary thyroid carcinoma is clinically emergent and ...

Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

Risk Factors and Sampling Range Evaluation of Lymph node Metastasis for
Non-small Cell Lung Cancer with Diameter ≤2 cm

open access: yesChinese Journal of Lung Cancer, 2023
Background and objective More early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are diagnosed in time and treated surgically, but systematic lymph node dissection can not bring enough survival benefits for them, and even increase the probability of ...
