Serous Effusions Diagnostic Accuracy for Hematopoietic Malignancies: A Cyto-Histological Correlation

open access: yesFrontiers in Medicine, 2020
Background: The aim of this study was to establish the liability of cytological diagnostic and, along with ancillary techniques, to sub-classify hematopoietic malignancies in serous effusions. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the serous effusions of ...

Biomaterial Strategies for Targeted Intracellular Delivery to Phagocytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Phagocytes are essential to a functional immune system, and their behavior defines disease outcomes. Engineered particles offer a strategic opportunity to target phagocytes, harnessing inflammatory modulation in disease. By tuning features like size, shape, and surface, these systems can modulate immune responses and improve targeted treatment for a ...

Transformation of Aggressive Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesJournal of Interdisciplinary Medicine, 2017
Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), representing up to 30 percent of all lymphomas. DLBCL is a fast-growing, aggressive form of NHL, which can appear as a transformation from a less aggressive form

Aggressive lung involvement in a patient with T‐acute lymphoblastic leukaemia/lymphoblastic lymphoma: a tricky and rare case report

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, 2020
A 39‐year‐old man was admitted to our university hospital because of diffuse pulmonary infiltrates on chest X‐ray. He had been diagnosed with T‐acute lymphoblastic leukaemia/lymphoblastic lymphoma three years before and had been treated with chemotherapy

B-Lymphoblastic Lymphoma of the Rectum [PDF]

open access: yesBaylor University Medical Center Proceedings, 2017
Lymphoblastic lymphoma is a neoplasm of immature cells committed to the B-cell or T-cell lineage. B-lymphoblastic lymphoma usually involves lymph nodes and extranodal sites, such as the skin, bone, and soft tissue. The rectum is a very rare site of involvement in B-lymphoblastic lymphoma.

Enhancing Magnetic Hyperthermia at the Cell Membrane by Anchoring 92R‐Functionalized Magnetic Nanoparticles to Low‐Endocytic CCR9 Surface Receptors

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We present a strategy to enhance magnetic hyperthermia therapy by modulating nanoparticle–cell interactions. Antibody‐functionalized magnetic nanoparticles targeting the low‐internalizing CCR9 receptor enable spatially controlled membrane anchoring, reducing aggregation and maximizing heat generation under alternating magnetic fields.

Clonal Hypereosinophilia with ETV6 Rearrangement Evolving to T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma: A Case Report and Review of the Literature

open access: yesCase Reports in Hematology, 2013
Hypereosinophilia, either clonal or reactive, has been described in association with multiple hematological malignancies. We describe a case of a patient presenting with hypereosinophilia that evolved into T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma.

Transformation of a low-grade follicular lymphoma into a composite lymphoma combining a high-grade B-cell lymphoma and a lymphoblastic neoplasm expressing Terminal deoxynucleotidyl Transferase: a case report

open access: yesJournal of Medical Case Reports, 2020
Background High-grade B-cell lymphoma with rearrangements of MYC and BCL2 and/or BCL6 is an aggressive mature B-cell neoplasm, whereas B-lymphoblastic lymphoma is immature cell proliferation, with a frequent positivity for terminal deoxynucleotidyl ...

Lineage switch from lymphoma to myeloid neoplasms: First case series from a single institution

open access: yesOpen Medicine, 2022
Lymphoma relapse is very common in clinical work, but lineage switch at relapse is rare. Although some cases have reported acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) switch to acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or myeloid sarcoma upon relapse, phenotype switch seldom ...

B-lymphoblastic lymphoma with TCF3-PBX1 fusion gene

open access: yesHaematologica, 2018
Lymphoblastic lymphoma (LBL) is a rare subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) seen primarily in children or young adults. The frequency of T-cell lymphoblastic lymphomas (T-LBL) are predominant and frequency of B-cell LBL (B-LBL) are only 10~20% of LBL ...
