Tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and POLE mutation in endometrial carcinoma
Gynecologic Oncology, 2021Polymerase-ε (POLE)-mutated endometrial carcinomas (ECs) have displayed an increased number of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) compared to POLE-wild-type ECs. However, it is unclear if TIL may aid in identifying POLE-mutated ECs when molecular data are unavailable.

Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocyte Therapy and Neoantigens
The Cancer Journal, 2017The adoptive cell transfer (ACT) of autologous tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes has been shown to be effective at mediating tumor regression in more than half of patients with metastatic melanoma and in mediating long-term complete regression in approximately one fourth of all patients with this cancer.

Clinical Significance of Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocytes in Lung Neoplasms [PDF]
Tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) are considered important in anticancer immunosurveillance, although their role has not been clearly established yet. We examined prevalence, correlations, and prognostic significance of TIL among our patient population of resected lung neoplasms. From 1993 to 2006, the presence of TIL was retrospectively evaluated in

Immunotyping and Quantification of Melanoma Tumor–Infiltrating Lymphocytes
2021The density of tumour-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) in melanoma is correlated with improved clinical prognosis; however, standardized TIL immunotyping and quantification protocols are lacking. Herein, we provide a review of the technologies being utilized for the immunotyping and quantification of melanoma TILs.

Tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes: A new hope
Cancer CellTumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) can be massively expanded from resected tumors and used as a cellular treatment for advanced malignancies. TILs require a preparative non-myeloablative chemotherapy followed by an abbreviated course of interleukin-2.

Predictors of Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocyte Efficacy in Melanoma
Immunotherapy, 2015In the past decades, the increasing knowledge in cellular immunology and tumor-host immune interactions, led to the development of immunotherapy approaches. Immunotherapy, based on adoptive cell transfer of ex vivo activated and expanded tumor-infiltrating T lymphocytes (TILs), has shown promising clinical results in patients with metastatic melanoma ...

Immunopriming of Tumor Infiltrating Lymphocytes with Neoadjuvant Cyclophosphamide
Immunological Investigations, 1993Tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) are increasingly employed in immunotherapy protocols. When modified and expanded they can be utilized in new therapeutic protocols. TIL augmentation can be in vitro and in vivo. The purpose of this article is to review the various methods of TIL augmentation and report our experience with a neoadjuvant technique of ...

Tumor-infiltrating Lymphocytes and Prognosis of Hepatocellular Carcinoma
Japanese Journal of Clinical Oncology, 1992Tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) were isolated from 17 human hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC). The proliferation of TIL cultured with recombinant interleukin-2 (rIL-2) was evaluated. We also examined prognosis in relation to TIL. Successful expansion of TIL was achieved in 16 of the 17 lesions.
