Anthracofibrosis: an under‐recognised mimic of malignancy and tuberculosis in a migrant population

Abstract Anthracosis, usually regarded as a benign and uncommon bronchoscopic finding, was identified in 108 (9.9%) of 1154 bronchoscopy procedures at two Australian hospitals, with almost a third showing bronchial narrowing consistent with anthracofibrosis.

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common lymphoid malignancy in adults accounting for 31% of all NHL in Western Countries. Following, morphological, biological and clinical studies have allowed the subdivision of DLBCLs into morphological variants, molecular and immunophenotypic subgroups and distinct disease entities.
