Extracellular nucleases of Lysobacter enzymogenes: production of the enzymes and purification and characterization of an endonuclease

Canadian Journal of Microbiology, 1980
Lysobacter enzymogenes produced a nonspecific extracellular nuclease and an extracellular RNAase when grown in tryptone broth. Both enzyme activities appeared after the exponential growth phase of the organism. The addition of RNA to the medium specifically inhibited the production of the nuclease and the addition of phosphate prevented the synthesis ...

Production of the potent odour agent, isopropyl methoxypyrazine, byLysobacter enzymogenes

Environmental Technology, 1992
Abstract Lysobacter enzymogenes, a common aquatic microorganism was isolated during the 1990 spring run‐off from the North Saskatchewan River which serves as the raw water supply for the City of Edmonton. Using gas‐chromatography ‐ mass spectroscopy and Chromatographic sniffing, L. enzymogenes was shown to produce 2‐isopropyl‐3‐methoxypyrazine.

CHARACTERIZATION OF ENDOGLUCANASE AND GENOME ANALYSIS OF Lysobacter enzymogenes ISOLATED FROM TROPICAL SOIL

A tropical Lysobacter sp. with lytic enzyme activities was isolated in Thailand, using chitin enrichment procedure. Among nine isolates capable of carboxymethylcellulose degradation, only the strain 521 was identified as Lysobacter enzymogenes based on morphological and physiological traits, together with 16S rRNA sequence comparison and phylogenetic ...
