Electronic Smoking Devices Among University Students: Usage Patterns and Chemical Composition of Inhaled Substances

open access: yesAnalytical Science Advances, Volume 7, Issue 1, June 2026.
ABSTRACT This study investigated the prevalence of electronic smoking device (ESD) use and its associated behavioural and chemical risks among university students in Bahia, Brazil. A cross‐sectional survey was conducted with 355 students from public and private institutions through an online questionnaire between April and May 2023. Among participants,

In Situ Polymerized Poly (p‐phenylenediamine)/Polyethylene Oxide Mixed Matrix Membranes for Efficient CO2/N2 Separation

open access: yesCarbon Neutralization, Volume 5, Issue 3, May 2026.
Poly(p‐phenylenediamine) (PpPD) modulates the packing density of polyethylene oxide (PEO) chains, and the synergistic effect of the interactions between amino groups, ether‐oxygen groups and CO2 significantly enhances the gas permselectivity of the PEO membrane. ABSTRACT The trade‐off effect of polymer membranes induced by molecular chains entanglement

Asymmetric Cu─N─Ru Bridgedsite Nanozyme‐Loaded Injectable Thermogel Boosts Cuproptosis‐Like Death for Multidrug‐Resistant Urinary Tract Infections

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 19, 2 April 2026.
To address multidrug‐resistant urinary tract infections (MDR‐UTIs), we developed Cu‐ZIF8‐Ru nanozyme featuring an asymmetric Cu─N─Ru catalytic site. This unique structure enhances multienzyme‐mimetic activity, eradicating resistant bacteria by inducing a cuproptosis‐like death pathway through intracellular Cu2+ accumulation and energy depletion.

The Effect of Silk on the Stabilization of Labile Enzyme Lipoxygenase

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, Volume 6, Issue 4, April 2026.
Entrapping lipoxygenase within silk significantly extended its stability from under 24 h to 10 days. Variations in silk molecular weight and freeze‐drying conditions influenced silk properties and enzyme interactions. This stabilization is leveraged to develop a linoleic acid electrochemical biosensor, integrating lipoxygenase with horseradish ...
