The E2/M1 and C2/M1 ratios and form factors in N -> Delta transitions

open access: yes, 2000
A partial wave analysis of pion photoproduction has been obtained in the framework of fixed-t dispersion relations valid from threshold up to 500 MeV. In the resonance region we have precisely determined the electromagnetic properties of the \Delta(1232)

A Method for Measuring the $6S_{1/2} \leftrightarrow 5D_{3/2}$ Magnetic Dipole Transition Moment in {Ba}$^{+}$

open access: yes, 2013
We propose a method for measuring the magnetic dipole (M1) transition moment of the $6S_{1/2} \big(\mathrm{m}=-1/2\big)\leftrightarrow 5D_{3/2}\big(\mathrm{m}=-1/2\big)$ transition in single trapped Ba$^{+}$ by exploiting different symmetries in the ...

The Crystal Structure of the Influenza Matrix Protein M1 at Neutral pH: M1–M1 Protein Interfaces Can Rotate in the Oligomeric Structures of M1

open access: yesVirology, 2001
The influenza matrix protein (M1) forms a protein layer under the viral membrane and is essential for viral stability and integrity. M1 mediates the encapsidation of the viral RNPs into the viral membrane by its membrane and RNP-binding activities.

Single‐ and Dual‐Atom Configurations in Atomically Dispersed Catalysts for Lithium–Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Single‐atom and dual‐atom‐based atomically dispersed catalysts (ADCs) effectively address the shuttle effect and sluggish redox kinetics in Li–S batteries. With nearly 100% atomic utilization and tunable coordination environments, ADCs enhance LiPSs adsorption, lower conversion barriers, and accelerate sulfur redox reactions.

Disengagement of motor cortex from movement control during long-term learning. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Motor learning involves reorganization of the primary motor cortex (M1). However, it remains unclear how the involvement of M1 in movement control changes during long-term learning.

M1 Muscarinic Receptor Activation Mediates Cell Death in M1-HEK293 Cells

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
HEK293 cells have been used extensively to generate stable cell lines to study G protein-coupled receptors, such as muscarinic acetylcholine receptors (mAChRs). The activation of M1 mAChRs in various cell types in vitro has been shown to be protective.

Establishing a Model Precursor System: Over a Decade of Research on Carbon Dots from the Citric Acid‐Urea System

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The citric acid/urea (CA‐Urea) precursor system offers a versatile, scalable route to carbon dots with tunable luminescence and multifunctionality. Mechanistic insights into precursor chemistry and reaction parameters have enabled doping, surface modification, and hybridization strategies, yielding CDs for luminescent devices, sensing, catalysis ...

Nanodiamond Quantum Sensors for Probing Free Radical Biology

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Free radicals play key roles in cellular signaling and disease but remain difficult to measure in living systems. Nanodiamonds (NDs) with nitrogen‐vacancy (NV) centers enable quantum sensing of local magnetic noise via T₁ relaxometry, providing nondestructive radical detection in living cells.

Multi‐Responsive Dendrimer‐Hyaluronic Acid Hydrogel With Lubricating and Immunoregulatory Functions for Synergistic Osteoarthritis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hydrogel with dynamic cross‐links was formed by cross‐linking hyaluronic acid with curcumin‐preloaded, phenylboronic acid‐modified poly(amidoamine) dendrimers. This hydrogel exhibited excellent injectability and self‐healing ability, enabling controlled Cur release in response to low pH, high reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, or mechanical ...
