Optimising Psychosocial Interventions for Parents Following Perinatal Bereavement: A Qualitative Study of Midwives' Perspectives

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Nursing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim To explore midwives' experiences of providing psychosocial interventions to parents following perinatal bereavement in maternity care settings. Design A descriptive qualitative study. Methods Twenty‐two midwives were recruited from three maternity services in Ireland using purposive and snowball sampling.

Changes in size‐at‐age of juvenile Atlantic salmon cohorts over the past 50 years and linkages to environmental factors

open access: yesJournal of Fish Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract Quantifying the potential effects of climate change on juvenile salmonid body length at a large spatiotemporal scale is challenging given the multitude of biological processes and methodological constraints. In the present work, we analysed potential changes in size‐at‐age of juvenile Atlantic salmon cohorts over the past 50 years in the ...

Protein STM3547 From Salmonella typhimurium Is a Phosphofructose Kinase B‐Type Enzyme With Ribose Kinase Activity

open access: yesMolecular Microbiology, EarlyView.
The metabolism of ribose starts with the phosphorylation of its 5′ hydroxyl group. Salmonella typhimurium has two kinases that perform this function, namely ribose rinase (RbsK) and deoxyribose kinase (DeoK). Here we report a new ribose kinase that we named RikA. The illustration was partially created in BioRender.

Detection, Structural Elucidation, and Biological Effects of Diverse N‑Acyl-homoserine Lactone Signaling Molecules in the Plant-Promoting Endophytic Bacterium Rhizobium oryzihabitans M15

open access: yes, 2021
Quorum sensing (QS), usually performed by N-acyl-homoserine lactones (AHLs) in Gram-staining-negative bacteria, plays an important role in plant–bacteria interactions. Rhizobium oryzihabitans M15 is a plant-growth-promoting rhizobacterium (PGPR) isolated

Artificial Intelligence for Regulatory Evidence: A Systematic Document Analysis of European Medicines Agency Regulatory Advice and Public Reports

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 120, Issue 1, Page 224-235, July 2026.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is receiving increasing attention across the entire lifecycle of medicines, from early development to postauthorization use. While various AI tools have been developed in commercial and academic settings, the extent of their use in regulatory contexts within the European Union remains unknown.

An emission-line object in the core of M15

open access: yesNature, 1986
Optical identification of globular cluster X-ray sources is essential if their evolutionary state and relation to the galactic bulge sources is to be understood. The 10 high-luminosity (⩾1036 erg s−1) X-ray sources associated with globular clusters have very accurate (∼1 arc s) positions from the Einstein Observatory survey1,2.

PVT1 lincRNA signals an androgen‐dependent transcriptional activation program of oncogenes in prostate cancer cells

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 159, Issue 1, Page 144-158, 1 July 2026.
What's New? Unraveling the networks that regulate androgen receptor (AR) function is critical to better understanding prostate cancer development and progression. Of particular interest in this regard is the long non‐coding RNA PVT1, which regulates gene expression in cancer and is upregulated in prostate tumors.

H.E.S.S. observations of the globular clusters NGC 6388 and M15 and search for a dark matter signal

open access: yes, 2011
Observations of the globular clusters (GCs) NGC 6388 and M15 were carried out by the High Energy Stereoscopic System array of Cherenkov telescopes for a live time of 27.2 and 15.2 hr, respectively.
