Source‐Dependent Chemical Variability of Saposhnikoviae Radix Extracts Modulates Their Biotransformation in the Simulated Gastrointestinal System

open access: yesJournal of Food Biochemistry, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Saposhnikoviae Radix extract (SRE) is an aqueous extract of Saposhnikoviae Radix, which exhibits anti‐inflammatory, analgesic, and antitumor actions in addition to its culinary and medicinal properties. In this study, an innovative analytical strategy was employed, combining the Simulator of the Human Intestinal Microbial Ecosystem (SHIME) and UHPLC‐Q ...

RSV RNA M37 levels in mock-vaccinated (MockVac), FI-RSV-vaccinated, and Control lambs as assessed by RT-qPCR.

open access: yes, 2013
FI-RSV-vaccinated lambs had significantly less RSV M37 RNA compared to mock-vaccinated lambs. Control lambs lacked RSV RNA RT-qPCR signal. Control n = 4; MockVac n = 4; FI-RSV n = 4.

The Planetary Nebula in the 500 Myr Old Open Cluster M37

open access: yes, 2022
We report confirmation of a large, evolved, bipolar planetary nebula and its blue, white dwarf central star as a member of the ∼500 Myr old Galactic open star cluster M37 (NGC 2099).

Copper Stress Response of Antibiotic‐Resistant and Copper‐Tolerant Enterococcus faecium and the Antibacterial Efficacy of Functionalized Copper Surfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 12, Issue 22, November 22, 2025.
This study examines how different laser‐patterned copper and brass surfaces, including copper coatings, affect the survival of vancomycin‐resistant Enterococcus faecium. Using microscopy and genome analysis, the results show that copper tolerance varies between strains and can increase after vancomycin exposure.

The X-ray luminosity function of M37 and the evolution of coronal activity in low-mass stars

open access: yes, 2016
We use a 440.5 ks Chandra observation of the ≈500-Myr-old open cluster M37 to derive the X-ray luminosity functions of its ≤1.2 M\(\odot\) stars. Combining detections of 162 M37 members with upper limits for 160 non-detections, we find that its G, K, and

Variations in skin biophysical parameters with age, sex and breed in dogs

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 36, Issue 5, Page 689-695, October 2025.
Background – Understanding the physiological and biophysical characteristics of skin provides information for developing appropriate management strategies for skin diseases. However, in dogs, variations in skin biophysical parameters, such as age, sex and breed, remain poorly understood.

Electrical properties based B1+ prediction for electrical properties tomography reconstruction evaluation

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 94, Issue 3, Page 1269-1283, September 2025.
Abstract Purpose In MR electrical properties tomography (EPT), conductivity and permittivity are reconstructed from MR measurements. However, depending on the reconstruction method, reconstructed electrical properties (EPs) show large variability in vivo, reducing confidence in the reconstructed values for clinical application in practice.
