M40 Oxford to Birmingham Design of bridges
Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers - Transport, 1993The recently completed 94 km extension of the M40 motorway from Oxford to Birmingham passes through some of the finest countryside in England and great emphasis was given to aesthetic and environmental aspects in the design. This Paper deals with the design of the many bridges. A section of the route overlies seams of the North Oxfordshire coalfields.

Galanin receptor antagonists M40 and C7 block galanin-induced feeding
Brain Research, 1993Two peptide antagonists of the galanin receptor, M40 (galanin[1-13]-Pro-Pro-[Ala-Leu]2-Ala amide) and C7 (galanin[1-13]-spantide amide), significantly inhibited galanin-induced consumption of a palatable wet cookie mash, when microinjected intraventricularly to satiated rats.

M40/A404 Junction High Wycombe Buckinghamshire
2002In March and April 2002, Oxford Archaeology carried out an archaeological watching brief on a geotechnical exercise at the junction of the M40/A404 High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. The watching brief revealed undisturbed buried topsoil below deposits used to construct the road embankments.

Deliverable 2.6 - Regulatory feedback report (2) (VPH, M40)
