Isophotometry of the nuclei of M31 and M51
Isophotic contour maps derived from blue plates confirm the change in position angle as a function of distance from the center of M31 in the red region reported by Peterson, Ford, and Rubin (1977). The techniques used for M31 were then applied to a study of M51, for which similar results were obtained for the nuclear region. The spiral arms of M51 were

Spatially resolved stellar populations and emission line properties in nearby galaxies with J-PLUS
Aims. We aim to characterize the spatially resolved stellar population and emission-line properties of galaxies in the M51 group using the same methodology previously applied to the M101 group, ultimately seeking to understand how environmental processes

A photometric study of the M51 system
Photoelectric and photographic data are presented for the two components of the M51 system, NGC 5194 and NGC 5195. The photoelectric observations (UBV and I) are presented as a series of drift scans with various diaphragm sizes covering the bright central and faint outer regions.
