Genomic Evidence of Low Contemporary Effective Population Size and Southern Genetic Reservoirs in an Island Endemic Epiphytic Orchid of Taiwan. [PDF]
Genome‐wide data from ddRADseq revealed a latitudinal gradient in genetic diversity in a Taiwanese endemic orchid. This study shows that genomic data not only can help us understand the evolutionary origins of genetic diversity in a species but also uncover its genetic reservoir for future conservation planning.

CHARACTERIZING MAGNETIZED TURBULENCE IN M51 [PDF]
We use previously published high-resolution synchrotron polarization data to perform an angular dispersion analysis with the aim of charactering magnetized turbulence in M51. We first analyze three distinct regions (the center of the galaxy, and the northwest and southwest spiral arms) and can clearly discern the turbulent correlation length scale from

Numerical Simulations of M51 [PDF]
No conference on the interaction of galaxies would be complete without a contribution on M51 (NGC5194) and its companion NGC5195. Much observational and theoretical work has been carried out to try to understand this interacting pair, and to elucidate the morphological features and weak AGN which are thought to be the result of the interaction.

Molecular Superclouds in M51 [PDF]
Recently, it has been shown that some of nearby spiral galaxies have very massive (107-8Mʘ) and large (several 100 pc - ~ 1 kpc) molecular gas clouds (M51: Rand & Kulkarni 1990; NGC1068: Planesas et al. 1991). Since these clouds are significantly more massive and larger than those of so-called Giant Molecular Clouds (GMCs) found in our Galaxy, they

We present observations, which are part of an ongoing investigation, of the CO (J=1–0) emission in the spiral galaxy M51. The spectra were obtained in a beamswitched on-on mode with the Onsala 20 m antenna (beam size ~33″), equipped with a cooled mixer and a 512 ×1 MHz multichannel receiver, and are shown in Figure 1.

Industry 4.0 and Current Competencies
There is a growing gap between higher education systems and the needs and demands of the labor market. Many of today’s students will work at jobs that just have emerged or do not even exist yet. The “newcomers” will need both digital and social-emotional

Subarcsecond-resolution Imaging of M51 with the International LOFAR Telescope
We present an International LOFAR Telescope (ILT) subarcsecond-resolution image of the nearby galaxy M51 with a beam size of 0.″436 × 0.″366 and rms of 46 μ Jy. We compare this image with a European VLBI Network study of M51 and discuss the supernovae in
