A synchronous duty-cycled reservation based MAC protocol for underwater wireless sensor networks

open access: yesDigital Communications and Networks, 2021
To design an energy-efficient Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol for the Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs) is an urgent research issue since depleted batteries cannot be recharged or replaced in the underwater environment.

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

An Efficient Medium Access Control Protocol with Parallel Transmission for Wireless Sensor Networks

open access: yesJournal of Sensor and Actuator Networks, 2012
In this paper, we present a novel low power medium access control protocol for wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The proposed protocol, EP-MAC (Efficient MAC with Parallel Transmission) achieves high energy efficiency and high packet delivery ratio under ...

Cross Layer Aware Adaptive MAC based on Knowledge Based Reasoning for Cognitive Radio Computer Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper we are proposing a new concept in MAC layer protocol design for Cognitive radio by combining information held by physical layer and MAC layer with analytical engine based on knowledge based reasoning approach. In the proposed system a cross

LA-MAC: A Load Adaptive MAC Protocol for MANETs [PDF]

open access: yesGLOBECOM 2009 - 2009 IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference, 2009
The performance of prevalent MAC protocols in MANETs relies on the level of contention in networks. While contention-based MAC protocols such as CSMA suffer from inefficiency under high contention, slot-based MAC protocols such as TDMA perform in the opposite way.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Mobile TFRC: a congestion control for WLANs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Based on an identification and evaluation of the subtle counterproductive interactions between the WLANs MAC layer and the transport layer, this paper shows a new approach towards congestion control for WLANs. We introduce a specialization of TFRC (MTFRC:

In‐Depth Profiling Highlights the Effect of Efgartigimod on Peripheral Innate and Adaptive Immune Cells in Myasthenia Gravis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by antibody‐mediated complement activation. Efgartigimod, a neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) antagonist, is approved for treating generalized MG (gMG). However, its modulatory effects on upstream innate and adaptive immune cells remain largely unexplored.

μ-MAC : an energy-efficient medium access control for wireless sensor networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
For the long-term deployment of wireless sensor networks, energy efficient MAC protocols are necessary. The transceiver of a sensor node should only consume energy while actively taking part in communication.
