The machine translator’s visibility
Abstract This article proposes that machine and human translation differ in use and seeks to demonstrate this not by comparison, but rather using the framework from philosophy of technology known as postphenomenology. Following the work of Don Ihde and others, postphenomenology is intended to examine how technologies mediate our relations

Combining data-driven MT systems for improved sign language translation
In this paper, we investigate the feasibility of combining two data-driven machine translation (MT) systems for the translation of sign languages (SLs).

Robust language pair-independent sub-tree alignment [PDF]
Data-driven approaches to machine translation (MT) achieve state-of-the-art results. Many syntax-aware approaches, such as Example-Based MT and Data-Oriented Translation, make use of tree pairs aligned at sub-sentential level.

Hyperosmotic stress triggers the relocation of the CFIm complex from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. This shift creates a nuclear ‘stoichiometric bottleneck’, limiting CFIm availability for mRNA processing. Consequently, specific mRNAs like NUDT21 and DICER1 undergo targeted 3′UTR shortening, demonstrating how spatial protein dynamics drive rapid ...

Loss of AMBRA1 activates MAPK and angiogenesis signaling pathways in melanoma cells
Loss of AMBRA1 in melanoma cells activates multiple oncogenic pathways associated with tumor progression. Transcriptomic and protein network analyses revealed that AMBRA1 depletion enhances MAPK/ERK signaling, angiogenesis, TGF‐β/EMT signaling, and Wnt/axon guidance pathways.

Marker-based filtering of bilingual phrase pairs for SMT [PDF]
State-of-the-art statistical machine translation systems make use of a large translation table obtained after scoring a set of bilingual phrase pairs automatically extracted from a parallel corpus.

The best way to improve a statistical machine translation system is to identify concrete problems causing translation errors and address them. Many of these problems are related to the characteristics of the involved languages and differences between ...

The cytoskeleton‐mediated transport of mitochondria via tunnelling nanotubes restores respiration, increases ATP production, rescues cells from apoptosis, activates the AKT/mTOR signalling pathway, promotes cell migration and invasiveness, contributes to cancer progression and treatment resistance.

Comparative analysis of machine translation for Hindi-Dogri text using rule-based, statistical, and neural approaches [PDF]
Machine translation has made significant progress in several Indian languages; however, some, known as computationally low-resourced languages, have seen very little work in this field.
