Early Clinical, Imaging, and Pathological Characteristics of SRPK3/TTN‐Digenic Myopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy was recently established as a skeletal muscle myopathy caused by digenic inheritance. This study characterizes the early clinical presentation of SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy in one previously reported and seven newly identified pediatric patients.

A P-local Delooping Machine

open access: yes, 2015
We show that for spaces $A$ that satisfy a certain smallness condition, there is a Lawvere theory $T_A$ so that a space $X$ has the structure of a $T_A$-algebra if and only if $X$ is weakly equivalent to a mapping space out of $A$. In particular, spheres localized at a set of primes satisfy this condition.

Workpiece localization : theory, algorithms and implementation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Workpiece localization refers to the following problem: assuming a rigid workpiece is arbitrarily fixtured to a work table, determine the position and orientation of the workpiece frame relative to some known world reference frame.

Screening Routine Clinical Notes for Epilepsy Surgery Candidates Using Large Language Models

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Epilepsy surgery is severely underutilized despite proven efficacy, with substantial under‐referral of eligible patients in routine clinical practice. This study evaluated the potential role of large language models (LLMs) as decision‐support tools for screening unstructured clinical notes to identify epilepsy surgery candidates and ...

Local Duality for Sparse Support Vector Machines

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence
Due to the rise of cardinality minimization in optimization, sparse support vector machines (SSVMs) have attracted much attention lately and show certain empirical advantages over convex SVMs. A common way to derive an SSVM is to add a cardinality function such as $\ell_0$-norm to the dual problem of a convex SVM.

Plasma EV Proteomics Identifies ECM Remodeling and Inflammatory Proteins LUM and C7 as Candidate Biomarkers in FSHD

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) is one of the most debilitating and common muscular dystrophies. Despite its severity, no approved therapy exists for FSHD patients. However, several therapeutic candidates are currently under development, and some have recently entered clinical trials, marking the need for reliable ...

Uncovering G Protein‐Coupled Receptors: Novel Targets and Biomarkers for Predicting Glioma Prognosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Low‐grade gliomas (LGG) exhibit significant heterogeneity and recurrence risk. G protein‐coupled receptors (GPCR) contribute to glioma malignant progression, but their prognostic value remains unclear. This work attempts to formulate a GPCR‐based outcome‐predicting model for LGG. Methods Based on TCGA LGG data, the enrichment scores
