Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Optimization of Machining Parameters for Corner Accuracy Improvement for WEDM Processing

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Corner accuracy occurring in wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM) is influenced by machining parameters such as wire vibration, wire lag, and excessive discharge, etc. This study proposed an optimization method which can improve the corner accuracy

Mixed‐class J‐domain protein scaffolds promote expanded aggregate handling and multivalent Hsp70 engagement during functional disaggregase assembly

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein aggregates threaten proteostasis and cell health. In human cells, Hsp70–J‐domain protein‐based disaggregases remove aggregates, but how they assemble remains unclear. Our biochemical findings show that DNAJA2‐ and DNAJB1‐containing disaggregase scaffolds enhance luciferase aggregate targeting, and that Hsp70 recruitment by both J‐domain ...

Force parameters of roller machines

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2023
To facilitate the force analysis of the roller machine under consideration, the previously obtained model of the pattern of distribution of normal contact forces is approximated by an empirical dependence. The moduli of the main vector of elementary normal and tangential forces of each roll, the main moments of elementary forces relative to the axis of

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
