We report the synthesis and characterization of a sulfated prism[5]arene host (Prism[5]MaxQ). Metal ion‐catalyzed Z→E isomerization of photoswitchable azobenzene glycomacrocycle: A new azobenzene‐based glycomacrocycle is capable of forming a 1:1 complex with divalent metal ions in both E‐ and Z‐isomers. The complexes undergo light‐free Z→E isomerization in a timescale spanning from seconds to weeks.

Seven novel supramolecular photosensitizers based on benzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazole (BTZ) tethered to calix[4]arene (C[4]) scaffolds are reported with facile, scalable, and selective syntheses. Their abilities to produce singlet oxygen have been tested through the photo‐oxidation of α‐terpinene.

Per‐ethylene‐glycol (EG)‐functionalized resorcin[4]arenes containing 12, 16, and 20 EG groups namely compounds 1d, 1e, and 1f, respectively, were prepared and found to self‐assemble, in organic solvents, into hexameric capsules. These capsules are more dynamic than the ones prepared based on alkyl substituted resorcin[4]arenes.
