Dairy foods and dairy protein consumption is inversely related to markers of adiposity in obese men and women [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A number of intervention studies have reported that the prevalence of obesity may be in part inversely related to dairy food consumption while others report no association.

Influence of Nanomaterials and Nanocomposites on the Nutrient Composition

open access: yesFood Safety and Health, EarlyView.
Nanomaterials and nanocomposites enhance crop nutrition and food quality by improving nutrient availability, plant uptake, and bioavailability through controlled delivery and nano‐encapsulation. Their applications in agriculture and food systems enable sustainable biofortification, improved preservation, and functional foods, while emphasizing safety ...

Phosphorus release from the soils in the Yellow River Delta: dynamic factors and implications for eco-restoration

open access: yesPlant, Soil and Environment, 2015
Root-released organic acids are reported to increase phosphorus (P) availability in the soil. In this study a dynamic study of P release from soil was conducted to get more exact information of the organic acids role in P availability in soil.

Marine Macroalgae as a Safe Healthy Food While Meeting Food Security Challenges Arising From Climate Changes

open access: yesFood Safety and Health, EarlyView.
Planned harvesting and processing of marine macroalgae could meet future global food needs and mitigate fuel‐originated carbon dioxide responsible for climate change. Microalgal foods are nutritious and safe. The utilization of macroalgae would avoid environmental problems arising from the release of overgrowing macroalgae caused by heatwaves, which ...

Response of Avena sativa, microorganisms and enzymes to contamination of soil with diesel oil

open access: yesPlant, Soil and Environment, 2015
The scale of the impact of petroleum products on the natural environment is still difficult to determine. This is why it was decided to conduct tests, under the conditions of a pot experiment, for the effects of diesel oil (0, 4, and 8 mL/kg dry matter ...

Seasonal drivers of plant–soil–microbial community structure and functions in Western Himalayan grasslands, Pakistan

open access: yesGrassland Research, EarlyView.
Plant species richness was greater in summer in both alpine and subalpine grassland ecosystems. Soil moisture demonstrates significant positive correlations with soil organic carbon and total nitrogen across seasonal periods. Microbial α‐diversity peaks during summer but maintains functional stability across seasons.

Optimizing outcomes in intrauterine insemination: A narrative synthesis of two decades of clinical research (2000–2024)

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.
Abstract Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a widely used first‐line fertility treatment, yet its success rates vary considerably. This review synthesizes evidence from peer‐reviewed studies published between 2000 and 2024, including randomized controlled trials, cohort and case–control studies, as well as systematic and narrative reviews identified ...

Correlation of extractable soil phosphorus (P) with plant P uptake: 14 extraction methods applied to 50 agricultural soils from Central Europe

open access: yesPlant, Soil and Environment, 2018
The aim of this study was to test different soil phosphorus (P) extraction methods in relation to plant P uptake. A greenhouse pot experiment was conducted with spring wheat.
