REQUIREMENTS OF OPERATIONS CONTROL FOR MAGLEV TRANSIT SYSTEMS
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1983Abstract The intention to develop a high speed maglev transit system (MTS) includes the design of optimized operations controls. With the aid of suitable mathematical models and simulations, investigations of vehicle and process dynamics afford requirements of automatic control. This way of proceeding is favourable to developing strategies to control

Analysis of an electrodynamic Maglev system
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1999Electrodynamic systems (EDSs) for Maglev have an advantage over electromagnetic systems (EMSs) in that the stability is built into the system. EDSs induce the currents used for levitation and guidance, while EMSs impose those currents with controlled feedback.

Control characteristics of passive maglev transport system
2017 IEEE 26th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2017Recent OLED display manufacturing process requires non-contact conveyor systems which do not generate particles for increased productivity. To avoid supplying power and heating in vacuum, a passive magnetic levitation (maglev) transport system can be a promising solution because it has neither sensor nor actuator in moving carriers and all active ...

The Transrapid Maglev System - An Update
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1992<div class="htmlview paragraph">This paper presents the status of the Transrapid Maglev System and the first commercial super-speed maglev application in the world planned for Orlando, Florida. It includes a brief summary of SAE paper No. 89 1714 which was presented in August 1989 and covers subsequent developments.

Maglev Freight Conveyor Systems
2008This chapter deals with a new approach of moving containers based on a magnetic levitation technology. The system is referred to as the Maglev Freight Conveyor System. This approach utilizes a proven Maglev “conveyor belt” technology that shows promise for both short-haul urban freight movement and interstate-bound containers.

Enhanced Maglev Performance by Field Cooling for HTS Maglev System in Curve Negotiation
Journal of Superconductivity and Novel Magnetism, 2014In the practical operation of high-temperature superconducting (HTS) maglev system, the problem of curve negotiation cannot be neglected. During the process of going through curve path, the maglev vehicle would laterally deviate from the center of the permanent magnet guideway (PMG) because of centrifugal forces. To explore the performance variation of

The Development of Superconducting Maglev System
1998JR Maglev using superconducting magnets on board levitates about 100mm from the ground facilities and is propelled by linear motor. This scheme enable the train to run at very high speed. The final target of this Maglev is the high speed ground transportation system with the revenue speed of 500km/h. As the final stage of its development we constructed

Stability and Bifurcation Analysis in a Maglev System with Multiple Delays
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2015This paper considers the time-delayed feedback control for Maglev system with two discrete time delays. We determine constraints on the feedback time delays which ensure the stability of the Maglev system. An algorithm is developed for drawing a two-parametric bifurcation diagram with respect to two delays τ1 and τ2.

VERIFICATION OF SAFETY RELATED PROGRAMS FOR A MAGLEV SYSTEM
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1987Abstract The safety system of the TVE (a Maglev site in Emsland, Germany) has the task to permit a travel only then, when the destination and the speed are acceptable by a given safety criterion. If a defect occurs during the travel, which can lead to a dangerous state, the train will be stopped immediately by the safety system.

Fuzzy Model Control for Maglev Suspension System
2015The maglev suspension system or magnetic levitation system (MLS), using the electromagnetic force to float, can effectively reduce the mechanical vibration friction and wearing loss caused by contact operation. However the parameters in the mathematical model are related to the permanent magnet geometry, distance and the total mass of the platform.
