Optimization study on misalignment tolerance of a wireless power transfer system with double-layer vertical DD coils

open access: yesWireless Power Transfer
To address the issue of coil misalignment in magnetically coupled wireless power transfer (WPT) systems, which causes fluctuations in mutual inductance, a reduction in the magnetic coupling coefficient, and a decline in transmission efficiency, this ...

Core Loss Analysis and Modeling of a Magnetic Coupling System in WPT for EVs

open access: yesWorld Electric Vehicle Journal, 2021
The magnetic core is an important part of the magnetic coupling system in wireless power transmission (WPT) for EVs. It helps to increase the coupling coefficient and reduce magnetic field leakage. However, it also brings additional core loss.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Optimal Design of Magnetic Coupling Wireless Power Supply System for Monitoring Equipment

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
The wireless power transfer technology provides a new solution to the power supply of monitoring devices. By adding a magnetic core that redistributes magnetic circuit, the proportion of the magnetic flux for power transmission increases, which improves ...

Spin torque resonant vortex core expulsion for an efficient radio-frequency detection scheme [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Spin-polarised radio-frequency currents, whose frequency is equal to that of the gyrotropic mode, will cause an excitation of the core of a magnetic vortex confined in a magnetic tunnel junction.

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Precession of Isolated Neutron Stars II: Magnetic Fields and Type II Superconductivity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We consider the physics of free precession of a rotating neutron star with an oblique magnetic field. We show that if the magnetic stresses are large enough, then there is no possibility of steady rotation, and precession is inevitable.

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Frequency and operational characteristics of an ultra-lightweight machine converting energy by magnetic resonance coupling

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
Electric aircrafts capable of moving in three dimensions cause creation of new industries and applications in society. Also, electric aircrafts operate on minimal energy with low emissions. However, an electric aircraft must be ultra-lightweight.

Multiscale modeling of magnetic distribution of ribbon magnetic cores [PDF]

open access: yesCES Transactions on Electrical Machines and Systems, 2018
The multiscale finite element method (MsFEM) combined with conventional finite element method (CFEM) is proposed to solve static magnetic field in the ribbon magnetic core with non-periodical corners considered. Firstly, a simple 2-dimensional electrostatic problem is used to introduce the MsFEM implementation process.
