Evaluation of the Efficacy and Safety of Satralizumab in a Pregnant NMOSD Patient With AQP4/MOG‐IgG Dual Seropositive: A Case Report

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD) is a chronic autoimmune neuroinflammatory disease, typically characterized by antibodies against aquaporin 4 (AQP4‐IgG) or myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG‐IgG). Simultaneous seropositivity for both antibodies in a single patient is exceedingly rare.

Decoding N400m Evoked Component: A Tutorial on Multivariate Pattern Analysis for OP-MEG Data

open access: yesBioengineering
Multivariate pattern analysis (MVPA) has played an extensive role in interpreting brain activity, which has been applied in studies with modalities such as functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI), Magnetoencephalography (MEG) and ...

Experimental realization of strong effective magnetic fields in an optical lattice

open access: yes, 2011
We use Raman-assisted tunneling in an optical superlattice to generate large tunable effective magnetic fields for ultracold atoms. When hopping in the lattice, the accumulated phase shift by an atom is equivalent to the Aharonov-Bohm phase of a charged ...

Predicting Epileptogenic Tubers in Patients With Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Using a Fusion Model Integrating Lesion Network Mapping and Machine Learning

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Accurate localization of epileptogenic tubers (ETs) in patients with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is essential but challenging, as these tubers lack distinct pathological or genetic markers to differentiate them from other cortical tubers.

Phase Modulators Based on High Mobility Ambipolar ReSe2 Field-Effect Transistors

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2018
We fabricated ambipolar field-effect transistors (FETs) from multi-layered triclinic ReSe2, mechanically exfoliated onto a SiO2 layer grown on p-doped Si.

Mapping the oxygen structure of γ-Al2O3 by high-field solid-state NMR spectroscopy

open access: yesNature Communications, 2020
γ-Al2O3 is widely used in catalytic processes, but understanding its detailed structure remains a challenge. The authors, using two-dimensional solid-state NMR spectroscopy at a high magnetic field, characterize the spatial proximity and connectivity ...

ALS With and Without Upper Motor Neuron Signs: A Comparative Study Supporting the Gold Coast Criteria

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective The Gold Coast criteria permit diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) even without upper motor neuron (UMN) signs. However, whether ALS patients with UMN signs (ALSwUMN) and those without (ALSwoUMN) share similar characteristics and prognoses remains unclear.

The first spectropolarimetric monitoring of the peculiar O4Ief supergiant zeta Puppis

open access: yes, 2016
The origin of the magnetic field in massive O-type stars is still under debate. To model the physical processes responsible for the generation of O star magnetic fields, it is important to understand whether correlations between the presence of a ...

Applying an Ethical Lens to the Treatment of People With Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The practice of neurology requires an understanding of clinical ethics for decision‐making. In multiple sclerosis (MS) care, there are a wide range of ethical considerations that may arise. These involve shared decision‐making around selection of a disease‐modifying therapy (DMT), risks and benefits of well‐studied medications in comparison to

Transient dynamics of magneto-optic rotation with elliptically polarized light

open access: yesResults in Physics
In this paper, we analyze the transient behavior of nonlinear magneto-optical rotation in a 87Rb vapor cell. Our focus is on optimizing the optical rotation signal by identifying influential factors.
