Preparation and study of magnetic fluids [PDF]
A study of the preparation and characterization of hydrocarbon based metal particle magnetic fluids (ferrofluids) is reported. Bimetallic alloy particle magnetic fluids with the particle compositions: FeCo, Co(_3)Fe and Ni(_3)Fe have been prepared by ...

Rotational dynamics of the magnetic moments in ferrofluids [PDF]
We present a set of six non-linear stochastic diffferential equations for the six variables which are relevant for the dynamical behavior of the magnetic moments in ferrofluids, namely, the three Euler angles of the magnetic particle, the two polar ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

The behaviour of magnetorheological fluids in squeeze mode [PDF]
Magnetorheological (MR) fluids possess rheological properties, which can be changed in a controlled way. These rheological changes are reversible and dependent on the strength of an excitation magnetic field.

It has advantages such as high power density and miniaturisation when the motor operates at high speed. However, as a side effect, the loss density is much higher than that of a constant speed motor.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Synthesis and characterisation of ferrofluid synthesized from iron and manganese [PDF]
Ferrofluids were first used by NASA in the 1960s in order to control the motion of fluids within space, as a ferrofluid is a fluid that has unique magnetic properties.

Complex windmill transformation producing new purely magnetic fluids
Minimal complex windmill transformations of G2IB(ii) spacetimes (admitting a two-dimensional Abelian group of motions of the so-called Wainwright B(ii) class) are defined and the compatibility with a purely magnetic Weyl tensor is investigated.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

The preparation and dispersion of magnetic ferrite particles [PDF]
Magnetic fluids containing magnetite (Fe(_3)O(_4)) have been prepared using colloidal size particles, obtained by alkaline treatment of mixed iron(II)/iron(III) chloride solutions.
