The influence of a mean magnetic field on three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic turbulence

open access: yes, 1994
Building on results from two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) turbulence (Shebalin, Matthaeus & Montgomery 1983), the development of anisotropic states from initially isotropic ones is investigated numerically for fully three-dimensional ...

Magnetic Nanofluid Droplet Impact on an AAO Surface with a Magnetic Field

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
This paper presents an experimental study on the impact of magnetic nanofluid droplets on aluminum sheet surfaces subjected to a magnetic field. A magnetic nanofluid was prepared by synthesizing Fe3O4 nanoparticles and coating amounts of oleic acid ...

Influence of Experimental Parameters of a Continuous Flow Process on the Properties of Very Small Iron Oxide Nanoparticles (VSION) Designed for T1-Weighted Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2020
This study reports the development of a continuous flow process enabling the synthesis of very small iron oxide nanoparticles (VSION) intended for T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The influence of parameters, such as the concentration/nature

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

White Magnetic Paper with Zero Remanence Based on Electrospun Cellulose Microfibers Doped with Iron Oxide Nanoparticles

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2020
The preparation procedure of zero magnetic remanence superparamagnetic white paper by means of three-layer membrane configuration (sandwiched structure) is presented. The cellulose acetate fibrous membranes were prepared by electrospinning.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Simple thrust formula for an MPD thruster with applied-magnetic field from magnetic stress tensor

open access: yes, 2007
It has been previously shown that the application of an axial magnetic field to an MPD thruster increases the thrust and focuses the plasma jet. The goal of this paper is to obtain a simple and ready-to-use theory to predict the thrust generated by an ...

Effects of Different Fatty Acids as Surfactants on the Rheological Properties of Kerosene-Based Magnetic Fluids

open access: yesFrontiers in Materials, 2022
Three types of surfactants (oleic acid, linoleic acid, and a mixture of oleic acid and linoleic acid) were coated on ferromagnetic particles, which were dispersed in kerosene to prepare magnetic fluids, to study the effect of different fatty acids as ...

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.
