Analysis of in-bore magnetic field in C-shaped armature railguns

open access: yesDefence Technology, 2019
In order to analysis the distribution characteristics of in-bore magnetic field for C-shaped armature electromagnetic railgun, a computational model considering dynamic contact pressure is established.

Casimir Interactions between Magnetic Flux Tubes in a Dense Lattice

open access: yes, 2015
We use the worldline numerics technique to study a cylindrically symmetric model of magnetic flux tubes in a dense lattice and the non-local Casimir forces acting between regions of magnetic flux. Within a superconductor the magnetic field is constrained

FGFR Like1 drives esophageal cancer progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and notch signalling: insights from clinical data and next‐generation sequencing analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.

Fourier transform magnetic resonance current density imaging (FT-MRCDI) from one component of magnetic flux density [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics in Medicine and Biology, 2010
Fourier transform (FT)-based algorithms for magnetic resonance current density imaging (MRCDI) from one component of magnetic flux density have been developed for 2D and 3D problems. For 2D problems, where current is confined to the xy-plane and z-component of the magnetic flux density is measured also on the xy-plane inside the object, an iterative FT-

Enzymatic degradation of biopolymers in amorphous and molten states: mechanisms and applications

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This review explains how polymer morphology and thermal state shape enzymatic degradation pathways, comparing amorphous and molten biopolymer structures. By integrating structure–reactivity principles with insights from thermodynamics and enzyme engineering, it highlights mechanisms that enable efficient polymer breakdown.

Lamination effects on a 3D model of the magnetic core of power transformers

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2017
In this paper the lamination effect on the model of a power transformer’s core with stacked E-I structure is analyzed. The distribution of the magnetic flux in the laminations depends on the stacking method. In this work it is shown, using a 3D FEM model

A Notched Long-Period Fiber Grating Magnetic Field Sensor Based on Nanoparticle Magnetic Fluid

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2016
In this paper, we propose using an inductively coupled plasma (ICP) etching technique to fabricate a notched long-period fiber grating (NLPFG) for magnetic sensing application.

Longitudinal oscillations in density stratified and expanding solar waveguides

open access: yes, 2012
Waves and oscillations can provide vital information about the internal structure of waveguides they propagate in. Here, we analytically investigate the effects of density and magnetic stratification on linear longitudinal magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) waves.

Impact of APOE ε4 Genotype Load on Cognitive Function and Lipid Metabolism in Patients With Cerebral Small Vessel Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Apolipoprotein ε4 (APOE ε4) is a potent genetic risk factor for Alzheimer's disease (AD). However, its role in cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) remains unclear. Given the clinical and pathological similarities between CSVD and AD, this study aimed to investigate the associations of APOE ε4 gene dosage with cognitive function and

3D simulations of rising magnetic flux tubes in a compressible rotating interior: The effect of magnetic tension

open access: yes, 2017
Context: Long-term variability in solar cycles represents a challenging constraint for theoretical models. Mean-field Babcock-Leighton dynamos that consider non-instantaneous rising flux tubes have been shown to exhibit long-term variability in their ...
