Magnetic gear and coupling using permanent magnet.
Journal of the Magnetics Society of Japan, 1987 Recently, permanent magnets have shown excellent practical performance characteristics. A description is given of a magnetic device with rotational ratio n constructed using a permanent magnet. When n ≠ 1, it operates as a magnetic gear and when n = 1, it operates as a magnetic coupling. As a magnetic gear, we used SmCo5 for the permanent magnet.
