In Vitro Hemocompatibility of the BiVACOR Total Artificial Heart in Continuous and Pulsatile Flow
Artificial Organs, EarlyView.BiVACOR's total artificial heart generates remarkably similar hemocompatibility when operated with a pulse or during continuous flow. Under both conditions, hemolysis and von Willebrand Factor multimers were similar to a commercial reference device after 6 h in vitro evaluation.
