Kondo effect in a few-electron quantum ring [PDF]
A small quantum ring with less than 10 electrons was studied by transport spectroscopy. For strong coupling to the leads a Kondo effect is observed and used to characterize the spin structure of the system in a wide range of magnetic fields.

Magnetic oscillations in silicene [PDF]
In this work the magnetic oscillations (MO) in pristine silicene at $T=0$ K are studied. Considering a constant electron density we obtain analytical expressions for the ground state internal energy and magnetization, under a perpendicular electric and magnetic field, taking in consideration the Zeeman effect. It is found that the MO are sawtooth-like,

Investigating Shubnikov-de Haas (SdH) oscillations in high magnetic fields, we experimentally infer the electronic band structure of the quasi-two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) at the ionic-liquid gated amorphous (a)-LaAlO_{3}/KTaO_{3} interface.

The spectrum of kink-like oscillations of solar photospheric magnetic elements [PDF]
Recently, the availability of new high-spatial and -temporal resolution observations of the solar photosphere has allowed the study of the oscillations in small magnetic elements.

Zeeman Splitting of Torsional Oscillation Frequencies of Magnetars
Magnetars form a special class of neutron stars possessing superstrong magnetic fields and demonstrating power flares triggered by these fields. Observations of such flares reveal the presence of quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) at certain frequencies;

Magnetosonic resonance in a dipole-like magnetosphere [PDF]
A theory of resonant conversion of fast magnetosonic (FMS) waves into slow magnetosonic (SMS) oscillations in a magnetosphere with dipole-like magnetic field has been constructed.

Investigation of quasi-periodic variations in hard X-rays of solar flares. II. Further investigation of oscillating magnetic traps [PDF]
In our recent paper (Solar Physics 261, 233) we investigated quasi-periodic oscillations of hard X-rays during impulsive phase of solar flares. We have come to conclusion that they are caused by magnetosonic oscillations of magnetic traps within the ...
