Simulation of a passive position control for ferromagnetic particles with multiple Halbach rings

open access: yesCurrent Directions in Biomedical Engineering, 2022
Various types of magnetic nanoparticles have been developed for a range of medical applications and some have the potential to treat diseases. In this paper, a new method for controlling the position of these magnetic particles by changing the magnetic ...

Heavy Metal Load in Airborne Magnetic Particles from Anthropogenic Activities in a Contaminated Area in Northern Greece and Their Environmental Impact

open access: yesEnvironmental Sciences Proceedings, 2023
Magnetic particles were separated from soil and sediment samples from the Sarigiol basin. The sources of their highest values are ophiolite complexes and fly ash dispersion while magnetite is the dominant mineral. Ιron is the dominant element of magnetic

Magnetization Model for Particle Magnetic Interaction

open access: yesIEEE Translation Journal on Magnetics in Japan, 1993
A new medium magnetization model that takes account of the magnetic interaction of particles has been developed. It is based on the curling magnetization reversal model, and incorporates Atherton's function for the mean field interaction. It is very easy to build the mean field function into the algorithm of our medium model.

Behavior of Electrodeposited Fe/FeSi Composite in a Static Parallel Magnetic Field

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2019
Fe-Si composite coatings were electrodeposited with Fe-30wt%Si or Si particles on low silicon steel strips under a static magnetic field, the direction of imposed magnetic field kept parallel to electric field.

Magnetic Characterization of Bacterial Magnetic Particles.

open access: yesJournal of the Japan Society of Powder and Powder Metallurgy, 1996
Mössbauer measurement, chemical analysis (ratio of Fe2+ to total Fe content), analyses of the rotational hysteresis loss (Wr) and the magnetic viscosity coefficient (Sv) for bacterial magnetic particles covered with organic thin films (BMPs) were investigated and compared with the results for Fe3O4 fine particles prepared by a chemical coprecipitation ...

Detection of Proteins Using Nano Magnetic Particle Accumulation-Based Signal Amplification

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2016
We report a biosensing method based on magnetic particles where coated magnetic particles are used for immunomagnetic separation, and uncoated magnetic particles are used for signal enhancement.

Magnetic-Particle-Sensing Based Diagnostic Protocols and Applications

open access: yesSensors, 2015
Magnetic particle-labeled biomaterial detection has attracted much attention in recent years for a number of reasons; easy manipulation by external magnetic fields, easy functionalization of the surface, and large surface-to-volume ratio, to name but a ...

Disordered but rhythmic—the role of intrinsic protein disorder in eukaryotic circadian timing

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Unstructured domains known as intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are present in nearly every part of the eukaryotic core circadian oscillator. IDRs enable many diverse inter‐ and intramolecular interactions that support clock function. IDR conformations are highly tunable by post‐translational modifications and environmental conditions, which ...
