CONSIDERATIONS ABOUT SHIELDING MATERIALS IN LOW FREQUENCY MAGNETC FIELDS [PDF]

open access: yesCarpathian Journal of Electrical Engineering, 2014
This work analyses the magnetic shielding for a large variation interval of perturbative field in terms of both amplitude and frequency. Founded on Finite Element Analysis, shields constructed from different materials are studied.

Analysis Of The Shielding Effectiveness Of Several Magnetic Shields

open access: yes, 2010
Today with the rapid growth of telecommunications equipment, electronic and developing more and more networks of power, influence of electromagnetic waves on one another has become hot topic discussions. So in this article, this issue and appropriate mechanisms for EMC operations have been presented. First, a source of alternating current (50 Hz) and a

Using a Zero‐Strain Reference Electrode to Distinguish Anode and Cathode Volume Changes in a Solid‐State Battery

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Volume changes of a solid‐state battery cell are separated into the individual contributions of anode and cathode. Simultaneously determining the “reaction volumes” of both electrodes requires a reference electrode with a pressure‐independent potential.

Superconducting Magnetic Shield.

open access: yesTEION KOGAKU (Journal of Cryogenics and Superconductivity Society of Japan), 1995
A superconductor is an ideal material for shield, giving excellent attenuation of electric/magnetic fields from DC to very high frequency. It is particularly useful for low frequency region shields because there is no effective material which gives effective shielding performance.

Design of High‐Energy Anode for All‐Solid‐State Lithium Batteries–A Model with Borohydride‐Based Electrolytes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study proposes a function‐sharing anode design to enable nonmetallic lithium insertion while maintaining intimate interfacial contact with the solid‐state electrolyte. A combination of lithium‐compatible and conformable borohydrides, highly conformable indium metal, less‐graphitized acetylene black, and a layer of highly graphitized massive ...

Light‐Programmable Interfaces: From Molecular Photoswitching to Adaptive Membrane Separations

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This review advances an interface‐centered framework for light‐responsive membranes, linking molecular photoswitches (azobenzene (AZO), spiropyran (SP), diarylethene (DAE), donor–acceptor Stenhouse adducts (DASA), photoacid) to integration strategies in polymeric, porous, self‐assembled, and mixed‐matrix systems.

Record High Polarization at 2 V and Imprint‐Free Operation in Superlattice HfO2‐ZrO2 by Proper Tuning of Ferro and Antiferroelectricity

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Low‐power ferroelectric capacitors, based on superlattice HfO2‐ZrO2 is reported. With proper tuning of ferro and antiferroelectricity, an imprint‐free high switchable polarization charge (2Pr of 76 µC/cm2) is obtained with 2MV/cm leading to linear analog weight update and non‐volatile retention, providing a design guideline for emerging non‐volatile ...

Preliminary calculation of solar cosmic ray dose to the female breast in space mission [PDF]

open access: yes
No regulatory dose limits are specifically assigned for the radiation exposure of female breasts during manned space flight. However, the relatively high radiosensitivity of the glandular tissue of the breasts and its potential exposure to solar flare ...
