Design of the Magnetic Shielding for PERC
The new facility PERC is a novel source of neutron decay products, currently under development by an international collaboration. Its main component is a more than 11m long superconducting magnet system (up to 6 T).

Fast magnetic field modeling for shielding systems
In this paper, a new iterative algorithm for the analysis of properties of magnetic shielding systems is proposed. Since such shielding systems for low frequency applications are composed of thin-walled shells with magnetic materials of high permeability,

A Low‐Cost, Handheld Optical Stiffness Sensor for Minimally Invasive Surgery
A novel handheld stiffness sensor is presented for real‐time tissue stiffness characterization. By simultaneously sensing contact force and tissue deformation, the device enables accurate stiffness quantification without requiring precise manual control. This approach offers a promising solution for intraoperative tumor detection and minimally invasive

Perivascular matrix densification promotes the emergence of aberrant endothelial tip cells (ATECs) that invade and persist within fibrotic microenvironments. Using in vivo lineage tracing and a human microvessel model, this study shows that fibrous matrix cues destabilize VE‐cadherin–mediated junctions to gate TGF‐β signaling, inducing a pro ...

ABSTRACT Accumulating evidence suggests that the intestinal microbiota participates in the progression of metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) through microbiota‐host interaction. However, the beneficial role of commensal mycobiota in MASLD progression remains poorly understood.

Targeting the PDK1/c‐Myc/SOX10 Signaling in Oligodendrocytes Alleviates Neuropathic Pain
This work reveals that oligodendrocyte homeostasis, mediated by PDK1, is a critical determinant of neuropathic pain (NPP) pathogenesis. Disruption of PDK1 in oligodendrocytes impairs SOX10‐dependent myelination programs through c‐Myc accumulation, leading to disrupted myelination and the pathophysiology of NPP.

A shielding-based decoupling technique for coil array design
A new decoupling technique which takes advantage of shielding for coil array design is proposed. A ground plane is used to reduce mutual inductance by reducing the effective coupling loop area of circuits; in addition, a "screen track" is placed between

Magnetic shielding for the Fermilab Vertical Cavity Test Facility [PDF]
A superconducting RF cavity has to be shielded from magnetic fields present during cool down below the critical temperature to avoid freezing in the magnetic flux at localized impurities, thereby degrading the cavity intrinsic quality factor Q{sub 0 ...

The PBTN targets GRP78 and, upon X‐ray irradiation, generates ONOO− to induce immunogenic cell death, thereby activating CD8+ T cells and establishing a systemic antitumor immune response. ABSTRACT Nitric oxide (NO) treated radioresistant tumors by relieving hypoxia and blocking DNA repair, but its nonselective toxicity has precluded therapeutic use ...
