The Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction (DMI) is responsible for exotic chiral and topological magnetic states such as spin spirals and skyrmions. DMI manifests at metallic ferromagnet/heavy-metal interfaces, owing to inversion symmetry breaking and spin ...

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Precise Control of π-electron Magnetism in Metal-free Porphyrins
The porphyrin marcocycle can stabilize a set of magnetic metal ions, thus introducing localized net spins near the center. However, it remains illusive but most desirable to introduce delocalized spins in porphyrins with wide implications, for example ...

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Defect induced, layer-modulated magnetism in ultrathin metallic PtSe2
Defects are ubiquitous in solids and often introduce new properties that are absent in pristine materials. One of the opportunities offered by these crystal imperfections is an extrinsically induced long-range magnetic ordering1, a long-time subject of ...

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Ab initio investigations of surface magnetism in V-Mo
Magnetic properties of the (0 0 1) surface of pure vanadium and disordered binary Mo-V alloys have been investigated from the first-principles by means of the LMTO-GF-CPA technique, the fixed spin moment method, and the direct exchange Monte-Carlo ...

Enhancing Magnetic Coupling Using Auxiliary Short-Circuited Coils
The efficiency of Dynamic Inductive Power Transfer (DIPT) depends mainly on the coupling coefficient within the coupler. In order to improve this parameter, a novel approach has been introduced that results in a significant increase of between 25% and 36%

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.
