Total Performance of Magneto-Optical Ceramics with a Bixbyite Structure. [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials (Basel), 2019
High-quality magneto-optical ceramics (TbxY1−x)2O3 (x = 0.5–1.0) with a Bixbyite structure were extensively investigated for the first time. The total performances of these ceramics were far superior to those of commercial TGG (Tb3Ga5O12) crystal, which is regarded as the highest class of Faraday rotator material.

Hot pressing of Ho2O3 and Dy2O3 based magneto-optical ceramics

open access: yesOptical Materials: X, 2022
The paper presents results of a research on fabrication of magneto-optical ceramics based on Ho2O3 and Dy2O3 sesquioxides. The ceramics were made by hot pressing of powders prepared by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis. The methods and modes of

Selection of Magneto-Optical Material for a Faraday Isolator Operating in High-Power Laser Radiation

open access: yesMagnetochemistry, 2022
Faraday isolators are the inherent components of complex laser systems. The isolation degree is essentially determined by the effects that occur in its magneto-optical element, so the choice of material from which it is made is very important.
