Fabrication and properties of transparent Tb2Ti2O7 magneto-optical ceramics

Journal of the European Ceramic Society, 2021
Abstract Transparent Tb2Ti2O7 magneto-optical ceramics were fabricated from co-precipitated nano-powders by vacuum pre-sintering with hot isostatic pressing (HIP) post-treatment. The formation of pyrochlore phase, decomposition of the precursor, and the morphology of powders calcined at different temperatures were investigated.

Synthesis of Tb3Al5O12 (TAG) transparent ceramics for potential magneto-optical applications

Optical Materials, 2011
Abstract Tb 3 Al 5 O 12 transparent ceramics have been prepared by solid state reaction and vacuum sintering. The optical quality and the microstructure of the samples were investigated. The sample sintered at 1650 °C possessed relatively good optical transparency from 400 nm to 1600 nm.
