Magnetoelectric effect in superconductors with d -wave magnetization

Physical review B
We report on a study of the interplay between the supercurrent and spin-polarization in a two-dimensional superconducting system in the presence of a d-wave symmetric antiferromagnetic exchange interaction (altermagnetism).

Improvement of magnetoelectric coupling effect in Ba0.8Sr0.2TiO3-Co0.5Cu0.5Fe2O4 multiferroic fluids by tuning the composition

Materials Today Chemistry, 2021
Ba0.8Sr0.2TiO3 (BST) and Cu0.5Co0.5Fe2O4 (CCFO) nanopowders were prepared by hydrothermal method and chemical coprecipitation, respectively. Barium strontium titanate nanopowder–nano mixed oxides containing copper, cobalt, and iron (BST-CCFO ...

Magnetoelectric Effect in Polar Superconductors

Physical Review Letters, 1995
The question of how the lack of spatial reflection symmetry can affect properties of a superconductor is investigated. A novel magnetoelectric effect is predicted: The supercurrent in a metal of polar symmetry must be accompanied by the spin polarization of the carriers. The relevance to some known pyro- and antipyroelectric superconductors including a

Theoretical investigation of magnetoelectric effect in multilayer magnetoelectric composites

Composite Structures, 2015
Abstract The aim of this paper is the modeling of an arbitrary magneto–elasto-electric multilayer constitute by magnetostrictive, piezoelectric and elastic substrate layers under free–free boundary conditions. A dynamic theory corresponding to the driving frequency of magnetoelectric (ME) response coupled flexural and extensional oscillations was ...

Magnetoelectric Effects in Antiferromagnetics

Journal of Applied Physics, 1962
Spin-ordered materials may exhibit a magnetic polarization which is proportional to an applied electric field and an electric polarization which is proportional to an applied magnetic field. In this paper a comprehensive discussion is given of the present knowledge of these magnetoelectric (ME) effects.

Magnetoelectric Effect for Phonons

2021
The phonon angular momentum for each mode \(\mathbf {l}_{\sigma }\) is an odd (even) function of phonon wave vector \(\mathbf {k}\) when the system has time-reversal (inversion) symmetry. Thus, to make phonon angular momentum nonzero \(\mathbf {l}_{\sigma }(\mathbf {k})\ne 0\), at least one of these symmetries must be broken.

Linear and quadratic magnetoelectric effect in CNMFO:PZT magnetoelectric composite

Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Electronics, 2013
Dynamic magnetoelectric voltage measurements of 30 % Co0.7−xNixMn0.3Fe2O4:70 % Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3 composites with x = 0.00, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15 synthesized by ceramic method were carried out by linear and quadratic method. Maximum linear magnetoelectric coefficient (α) of 14.7 mv Oe−1 cm−1 and maximum quadratic coefficient (β) of 2.26 × 10−4 mv Oe−2 cm−1 ...

Surface linear magnetoelectric effect

Ferroelectrics, 1994
The ferroelectricity and linear magnetoelectric effect (LMEE) near the surface of magnetically ordered crystals of any symmetry have been studied. These effects are due to the change in value of magnetic moment near the surface and are described by an exchange magnetoelectric energy of the scalar form P(dM%n) where P is the electric polarization, M is ...

The magnetoelectric effect in a cubic ferrimagnetic spinel LiFe5O8 with high coupling temperature

Journal of Materials Chemistry C, 2019
We report an effective magnetoelectric (ME) coupling phenomenon in cubic ferrimagnetic spinel LiFe5O8, with the command of its polarization by an applied magnetic field. This material exhibits the highest ME coupling temperature among the magnetoelectric

Magnetoelectric Effect in Ce3Fe5O12 Films

JETP Letters, 2020
Hysteresis in the dependence of the electric polarization on the electric field has been found in polycrystalline cerium iron garnet films. The linear and quadratic magnetoelectric effects have been detected and it has been found that the magnetoelectric tensor components change sign with the variation of the temperature. The magnetoelectric effect has
