Neutrino magnetohydrodynamics [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics of Plasmas, 2016
A new neutrino magnetohydrodynamics (NMHD) model is formulated, where the effects of the charged weak current on the electron-ion magnetohydrodynamic fluid are taken into account. The model incorporates in a systematic way the role of the Fermi neutrino weak force in magnetized plasmas.

Lattice Boltzmann magnetohydrodynamics [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics of Plasmas, 1994
Lattice gas and lattice Boltzmann methods are recently developed numerical schemes for simulating a variety of physical systems. In this paper a new lattice Boltzmann model for modeling two-dimensional (2-D) incompressible magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) is presented.

Experimental and Numerical Investigations into Heat Transfer Using a Jet Cooler in High-Pressure Die Casting

open access: yesJournal of Manufacturing and Materials Processing, 2023
During high-pressure die casting, a significant amount of heat is dissipated via the liquid-cooled channels in the die. The jet cooler, also known as the die insert or bubbler, is one of the most commonly used cooling methods. Nowadays, foundries casting

Dynamo Action in Magnetohydrodynamics and Hall‐Magnetohydrodynamics [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2003
The first direct numerical simulations of turbulent Hall dynamos are presented. The evolution of an initially weak and small-scale magnetic field in a system maintained in a stationary regime of hydrodynamic turbulence (by a stirring force at a macroscopic scale) is studied to explore the conditions for exponential growth of the magnetic energy.

Magnetohydrodynamics with GAMER [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series, 2018
Abstract GAMER, a parallel Graphic-processing-unit-accelerated Adaptive-MEsh-Refinement (AMR) hydrodynamic code, has been extended to support magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) with both the corner-transport-upwind and MUSCL-Hancock schemes and the constraint transport technique.

Impact of Submerged Entry Nozzle (SEN) Immersion Depth on Meniscus Flow in Continuous Casting Mold under Electromagnetic Brake (EMBr)

open access: yesMetals, 2023
Complex multi-phase phenomena, including turbulent flow, solidification, and magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) forces, occur during the continuous casting (CC) under the applied electromagnetic brake (EMBr).

Prediction of Entrance Length for Magnetohydrodynamics Channels Flow using Numerical simulation and Artificial Neural Network [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied and Computational Mechanics, 2020
This paper focuses on using the numerical finite volume method (FVM) and artificial neural network (ANN) in order to propose a correlation for computing the entrance length of laminar magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) channels flow.
