Foam Injection Molded Stereocomplex PLA: Processing, Thermal Behavior and Foam Structure

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
The processing of stereocomplex poly(lactic acid) (sc‐PLA) via continuous compounding followed by thermoplastic foam injection molding is investigated. A controlled two‐stage cooling strategy effectively promotes sc‐dominated crystallization of the granulates.

Investigation of Stray‐Light Patterns in the eROSITA X‐Ray Cameras

open access: yesAstronomische Nachrichten, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT eROSITA (extended ROentgen Survey with an Imaging Telescope Array) is the soft X‐ray instrument aboard the Spectrum‐Roentgen‐Gamma (SRG) mission, developed under the responsibility of the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics (MPE).

The Effect of Chiller and Hot Runner Temperature on Appearance of 100 mL Pet Bottle Products Through the Stretch Blow Molding Process

open access: yesLogic
The using of plastic in human life is increasing over time. This increase occurs because plastic is not easily broken, flexible, practical, economical, and can replace the function of other items. One of the plastic molding processes is Injection Stretch

String Figuring young children's perspectives of quality in English early childhood education and care

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Quality in early childhood education and care (ECEC) is a contested concept and has generally been conceptualised by inter‐related indicators such as staff qualifications, educational environment, policy or child‐to‐staff ratios. There has been a more limited emphasis on how young children might perceive and experience quality.

Travelling waves bifurcation of the modified Ginzburg-Landau's equation

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2008
The main target of this work is the modified Ginzburg-Landau's equation, addresses given in a monograph of G.G. Malinetskii as one of the equations, where blow-up regimes can be possible.

From liquid learning to weaving learning: Negotiating meanings of Children's learning in family travel

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Children's learning increasingly extends into everyday informal settings, but what counts as learning in these contexts remains insufficiently understood. Focusing on family travel as a mobile and socioculturally situated informal learning context, this study adopts a sociocultural perspective and uses liquid learning as a sensitising concept ...

Animal empathy reconsidered: a multidimensional profile account

open access: yesBiological Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Empathy is the glue that holds societies together and yet several fundamental questions about empathy persist. What is empathy (the definitional question)? Is it uniquely human and, if not, which nonhuman animals possess empathy (the distribution question)? Which type or quality of empathy is realized in different species (the quality question)

On the blow-up of a non-local parabolic problem

open access: yes, 2006
We investigate the conditions under which the solution of the initial-boundary value problem of the non-local equation ut=Δu+λf(u)/(∫Ωf(u)dx)p, where Ω is a bounded domain of RN and f(u) is a positive, increasing, convex function, performs blow-up.

Carrion ecology: concepts, interdisciplinary synthesis, and perspectives

open access: yesBiological Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Carrion is a ubiquitous resource in both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, yet it has long been overlooked in ecological research. Over the past two decades, studies on carrion and the many organisms that exploit it have flourished, revealing not only wide‐ranging ecological functions but also significance far beyond ecology.

Locked in Transition: Examining the Role of Paradoxical Tensions in the Transition From Industrial Cluster to Eco‐Clusters

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Industrial clusters are central to the circular economy transition, yet how they develop into eco‐clusters and the paradoxical tensions this transformation fuels remain underexplored. Drawing on 48 in‐depth interviews and secondary data from a Turkish textile‐recycling cluster, we develop an empirically grounded model of eco‐cluster transition
