Some Peculiarities of Helicopter Main Rotor Aeroacoustic for Far-Field Observer [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2019
Mathematical models for helicopter rotor acoustics are usually based on the Ffowcs Williams–Hawkings (FW–H) equation. The level of rotor noise is determined by geometry (thickness noise) of a flying vehicle and distributed blade loading (loading noise ...

Helicopter anti-torque system using fuselage strakes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
The improvement of the helicopter torque control system is discussed. At low to medium forward speeds helicopter performance is limited by the effectiveness of the means for counteracting main rotor torque and controlling sideslip airloads.
