PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

A Fuzzy FMEA-Resilience Approach for Maintenance Planning in a Plastics Industry

open access: yesInternational Journal of Prognostics and Health Management
The productivity and efficiency of industrial systems are highly affected by failures and machine breakdowns. Further, in asset-intensive industries, unexpected failures are considered the primary source of operational risk.

SHM strategy optimization and structural maintenance planning based on Bayesian joint modelling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In this contribution, an example is used to illustrate the application of Bayesian joint modelling in optimizing the SHM strategy and structural maintenance planning.

Maintenance grouping for multi-component systems with availability constraints and limited maintenance teams [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
International audienceThe paper deals with a maintenance grouping approach for multi-component systems whose components are connected in series. The considered systems are required to serve a sequence of missions with limited breaks/stoppage durations ...

Gut microbiota diversity is prognostic in metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this exploratory study, we investigated the relationship between the gut microbiota and outcome in patients with metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer, treated in a randomized clinical trial with chemotherapy alone or chemotherapy in combination with immune checkpoint blockade.

TOWARDS DEVELOPING A NOVEL FRAMEWORK FOR PRACTICAL PHM: A SEQUENTIAL DECISION PROBLEM SOLVED BY REINFORCEMENT LEARNING AND ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS

open access: yesInternational Journal of Prognostics and Health Management, 2019
The heart of prognostics and health management (PHM) is to predict the equipment degradation evolution and, thus, its Remaining Useful Life (RUL). These predictions drive the decisions on the equipment Operation and Maintenance (O&M), and these in turn ...

Peoples’ use of, and concerns about, green space networks: A case study of Birchwood, Warrington New Town, UK [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Cultural services provided by green space networks and in particular leisure and recreational opportunities are central to the quality of life of those living in urban areas. However, the literature concerned with green space networks has mainly focussed

Tumor and germline testing with next generation sequencing in epithelial ovarian cancer: a prospective paired comparison using an 18‐gene panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Genetic testing in epithelial ovarian cancer includes both germline and tumor‐testing. This approach often duplicates resources. The current prospective study assessed the feasibility of tumor‐first multigene testing by comparing tumor tissue with germline testing of peripheral blood using an 18‐gene NGS panel in 106 patients.
